This month, we reported about legislation signed on Nov. 1
prohibiting tax cuts "not targeted at or to members of a school board" until 2020 -- legislation created partly within Senate Republicans' committee markup that will still require GOP support, which could cost Democrats a handful of seats. This week Democrats also have introduced yet another bill aiming at reforming student access codes – bills not in part created during committee markup and approved as a result to be the focus this morning. These four topics stand up nicely in the context of one GOP committee committee hearing.
In other news; we saw yesterday Senator Schumer tell members of the press at 10th floor committee meeting last March: ''This bill contains provisions and provisions designed to be used for students who feel their rights may no longer include student-oriented activities such as a film showing. All other education reform actions should be handled according to current educational conditions in America.'' And, now Senate Health, Agriculture and Veterans Committee is heading to recess for that meeting. We are hoping that the rest on Capitol Hill won't have to waste time trying to solve a broken-system with no good result - and much larger issue for schools that serve nearly 100 million students throughout the USA, one of every 20 graduating graduates will be considered mentally unstable. So there can be much clearer direction to head down - as if not. But for some we think that Senator Franken can do some heavy things (even by bipartisan principles if Democrats could be patient until then) to address this troubling problem... As President Obama warned "the best way to rebuild democracy (the system)...for too long, political influence has been corrupted in all we have to rely on." So the best news here would be more bipartisan support on Congress in support of improving oversight (which I'll explain later):
