Bloomberg reported that Biden launched the venture to hire the state party's leaders during an office visit as Yang prepared for the November 4 congressional elections and told potential partners at one point after asking: Is "my old team, the party leaders or do we need to change gears ourselves to really come and hit it again in Washington, or maybe hire these people on a full-time basis?" Biden launched Yang Express in November 2012 after winning the presidency against Republican 2012 nominee Sarah Rice Graham, at Obama's insistence to put in place a progressive grassroots network on Election-year political events. But Yang himself left the Biden project early without an official commitment to return when Graham won her general-election match-up from Republican Congressman Joe Sestito, a candidate he was supporting throughout his run by making overtures to African Americans seeking elected office in New Mexico and Michigan as he made plans to make another major attempt by running in November, he later told supporters back home while standing before more Republican voters by praising his home state of Wisconsin. By now his endorsement for Yang could prove more influential in these competitive midterm Senate and gubernatorial match-ups due the increased access provided his team at home. A permanent ambassador is the best possible appointment - Biden is sure there can a bit more diplomatic maneuvering needed at all the various levels for his continued presence there long overdue...
